Privacy Policy

RemodelBoard ("we", "us") makes RemodelBoard, software that remodeling and construction companies use for bids, jobs, schedules, time, purchases and bookkeeping checks. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled form), company name and role.
- Business information you and your team enter: customers and their contact details, bids, jobs, schedules, change orders, purchase orders, receipts and photos, subcontractors, pay rates and hours.
- Location at clock in and clock out: when someone clocks in or out, the app records their location at that moment to confirm they're at the job. We don't track location at any other time.
- QuickBooks Online information: if your company connects QuickBooks Online, we read purchases, bills, vendor credits and your QuickBooks company name. If your company turns on sending POs to QuickBooks, we also create customers and jobs and update those transactions with the job, PO number and receipt.
- Phone alerts: if you turn on alerts, your browser gives us an address for sending notifications to that device.
- Technical information: basic logs (such as IP address, browser type and errors) that our hosting providers keep to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To provide RemodelBoard: showing your team its jobs, bids, schedules, time and purchases, and matching purchases to QuickBooks.
- To send emails you ask for (for example, bids to your customers and sign-in emails) and alerts you turn on.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising. QuickBooks data is used only to provide RemodelBoard's features to your company.
Who can see it
Your company's information is visible only to people in your company, according to the roles and permissions your company sets (for example, prices and pay rates can be limited to owners and managers). Customers see only what you send them, such as a bid to sign.
We use these service providers to run RemodelBoard, and they handle data only on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Intuit: QuickBooks Online, only if your company connects it.
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder: finding a job's location on the map from its address.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Access is limited by your company's roles and permissions, enforced by the database itself. QuickBooks sign-in tokens are encrypted before they're stored. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
- You can update your profile at any time in the app.
- Your company can disconnect QuickBooks at any time (Daily review → QuickBooks → Disconnect from QuickBooks, or from the Apps area in QuickBooks). We then stop reading or changing your QuickBooks data.
- You can turn phone alerts off on any device.
- To get a copy of your company's information, or to have it deleted, email support@remodelboard.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your company's information while your account is active, so your records (including purchases and reimbursements kept for tax purposes) stay available. When a company asks us to delete its account, we delete its information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Children
RemodelBoard is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for important changes we'll let account owners know.
